Having a large parrot requires large parrot toys. Birds like the African Grey, Amazon’s, Macaws, and Cockatoos, range from medium to large in size. These types of pet parrots require adequate cage space to stretch there wings, move around, and eat. But what happens when you add perches, a swing, food dishes, a water bottle, etc… Is there enough room for those extra large parrot toys? This is why I always say, buy the biggest cage that you can afford and them go up one or two sizes from there. If you are buying a cage based on what you can afford then it is really unfair to the bird. Once you add in a variety of toys, the space suddenly becomes smaller and less accommodating to your pet parrot. Giving your bird adequate room for everything it needs including it’s toys will make your avian pet very happy and healthy and in return will bond well with it’s owner.
