As with any machinery that runs on electricity, televisions also hide certain risks and dangers when misused by individuals. In order to prevent potential danger from misuse, the owners or users of the Sharp aquos hdtv models must take into account some necessary precautions which we discuss below.
Instructions: all the instructions that Sharp models are coming with, either in the form of a booklet or as in the form of warnings on the television set must be carefully studied, adhered to and stored in a safe place where they can be easily retrieved when is necessary
Cleaning: as with all state-of-the-art machinery owners must exercise caution when cleaning their Sharp AQuoS HDTV; especially the flat panel display must only be cleaned with dry clothes and nothing else. The remaining part of the set can be cleaned with soft antistatic clothes or brushes
Power: it is very important for peoples’ safety to use a grounding-type plug; such plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. If the plug that is supplied with the set does not fit to your rooms outlets then the owner must contact an electrician to replace the outlet that is not compatible. Power must be turned off during electric storms and when the set is not used by extended periods of time. The power cord must be protected from being walked on or pinched at the plugs end or at the end that is coming out of the television. The outlet used by the television must not be overloaded with cords as this can result in an increased risk of fire or electric shock. Also no liquid and no foreign objects should be placed in openings of the television (i.E. Ports) as they may come into contact with dangerous voltage parts
Placement: people must ensure that their Sharp aquos hdtv is not positioned close to sources that emit heat and humidity; also it is good to avoid installing the set close to machinery that use or broadcast radio and electrical signals. The set must be placed on carts, stands or tripods that fit and are compatible as described by Sharp in the instructions; both the television and the cart must be moved with caution to avoid injury or damage
Service and replacement: if the Sharp television gets damaged, servicing must be conducted by authorized personnel only; specifically for cases where the television has been damaged in any way, liquid has been spilled or objects have hit the television. Also when the television is not working as expected or has been dropped
The Sharp AQuoS HDTV series of models is not more sensitive than other liquid crystal display brands, so the instructions mentioned above are not implying some sort of hypersensitivity if they televisions were compared to all the others in the market.
