Online Exercise Videos-As Easy As “ABC”

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 2:31 pm

I use online exercise videos but I’m not exactly a fitness freak. In fact, I am a shy person and I don’t open up too soon. I had gained a few pounds- thanks to all the eating out and I needed to lose them. I joined the local gym, but honestly speaking, seeing those well toned muscles and comparing them with my almost beer belly, I didn’t quite feel that confident. I eventually left the gym.

I was looking for a gym alternative when I came across these videos. These are really superb since they give me a personal trainer in the privacy of my own house. Now I won’t have someone look at me (since it makes me conscious). After getting these videos, I have lost two inches from my waist line, and it is a big achievement for a woman like me. My next goal: Do my very first 5K run/walk…wish me luck.

Keeping the Bodylastics Resistance Bands

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 5:15 pm

I have been using the Bodylastics resistance bands for almost a year now and I didn’t have any problems with this. Perhaps that’s the reason why I would keep this with me. Most of my cousins are asking why I love this workout and I told them the great things I have experienced.

With the help of Bodylastics, I was able to lose weight in just a matter of few months. I have been using a lot of workouts before hoping that this one can help me become thinner. I even tried using pills because I was so desperate to lose weight. But no matter how I tried, I kept gaining weight.

There was even one time that I almost fainted because of too much starvation. I would usually keep myself busy just to forget eating.

But with Bodylastics, I can eat regularly without having to skip meals. It’s really effective!

We Could Really Use This Thing

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 6:26 pm

It figures. I just got some brand new running shoes, and its far too cold to go running. I really don’t mind running when its chilly out, but its just not safe when there’s ice and snow anywhere. I hate the winter. I get all out of shape, and I have to start all over again in the spring. I end up making a little progress each year, but I could do so much more if I didnt have to stop for three months. I need to get a sole f80 treadmill. Then I could keep running inside during the winter. The scenery won’t be as nice, but at least I’ll stay in shape. Then I won’t have to work extra hard in the spring to get ready for swimsuit season. I’m sure my husband won’t mind me picking one up. Besides, he needs to get in shape more than I do.

The Towels That Changed the Way I Did Yoga

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 8:20 am

When I practice yoga there are many different kinds of mats I have tried but by far my favorite is Yogitoes Skidless Yoga Towels. This is the only tool I have used that prevents me from slipping while practicing yoga. It’s super absorbent, and puts a hygienic layer between me and the yoga mat or any exercise equipment. I have always loved yoga but there are so many different moves that I have trouble finding the best ones for me. So far my favorites are Downward Facing Dog, Extended Side Angle Pose, Garland Pose, Pyramid Pose, Mountain Pose, Raised Hands Pose, Standing Forward Bend, Standing Straddle Forward Bend, Triangle Pose, and Warrior I. all of these moves are so much easier on Yogitoes Skidless Yoga Towels. Before I got the towels I fell over more. Now I don’t have that problem anymore. I would highly recommend buying a Yogitoes Skidless Yoga Towel.

Order 10 Minute Trainer and See if It Really Works

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 12:19 pm

One auspicious Saturday afternoon I was stack up at home with some paper works. When I get done I decided to get online. Then I came upon 10 Minute Trainer reviews in the BeachBody website.

According to the advertisement this workout will help your body develop good muscle coordination and many more benefits for only 10 minutes workout per day. Is this even possible for only 10 minutes? I mean, I know fitness workouts are supposed to be lengthy in order to target all the problem areas in your body.

The 10 Minute Trainer workout ads were steadfast to its claim that it can give you total-body workout for so short a time. Well I have to try this. This is really something new. I just ordered my own set from their site.

I can’t wait for my package to arrive and get started with it. I want to know if 10 Minute Trainer will live up to my expectations.

Treadmills for a Low Impact Workout

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 9:38 pm

Here are some tips that you can do in order to stay fit and all it takes is a pair of running shoes and some amount of time daily. Walking is by far the easiest and most accessible exercise program ever. Most of the time, you can just walk in your area or around the block. Add some impact by walking on steep terrain or hilly areas. This allows a low impact work out that will strengthen the muscles of your lower body. But if you think it’s more comfortable to do walking at home, you can buy a treadmill and experience a more intensive work out. Treadmills are equipped with counters that check on your progress. Start slow and increase the speed as you progress. Do not force your body to the limits as you will only feel pain and discomfort.

These treadmills are reviewed and evaluated in the website http://www.treadmillsreviewed.org so you can very well make up your mind as to which treadmill you want to purchase.

Used Elliptical Machines – Considerations to Take

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 8:42 am

Used Elliptical Machines can help you stay healthy at a cheaper price. Elliptical machines are stationary exercise machines that are designed to simulate exercises like walking or running, without causing much pressure to the joints, thereby reducing the risk of getting injured. Also, these machines offer cardiovascular exercises with adjustable intensity levels prefered by the user. Elliptical machines are almost a combination of a treadmill and a stationary cycle. The dual action exrcise offered by the elliptical machines helps burn more calories as different muscle groups are exercised simultaneously. These machines also allow exercising at a much gentler rate and achieving the desired results. Also, these machines do not make as much noise as a treadmill. There are many models and brands of elliptical machines available in the market. The heavy-duty commercial models are costlier than the light weight machines designed for home use.

Though used elliptical machines are available at a much lower price, their usage and age should be considered before buying them. Whereas a machine used in a gymnasium would have been used more, home used machines are bound to be lesser used. Also, if the machine is a very old model, it may not be as well designed as the newer ones. Before buying such used elliptical machines, it is essential to make sure that it is functioning smoothly. Also, the machine should be capable of performing all the programs for which it is designed. The pricing and warranty, if available, also should be considered.

The Effects of an Early Morning Workout

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 2:34 am

I have recently joined a gym again and I have found that an early morning workout is just about the perfect time for me to hit they gym. It’s just that right balance of scheduling to feel like I can do it every day and not miss out. The trick for me is to make it a routine. Having a routine is such a key for me that I can not overstate how important this is. Your routine is such a big deal when it comes to exercise.

So much of what we do is routine. Especially when it comes to the successful things that we do. If you exercise on a total gym on a regular basis you fill get better results because it is a routine. That routine is so important that it is pretty much the most important thing. Fitness has to be a routine or it just will not work.

Working out with Jillian Michaels

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 4:36 pm

Working out at the gym has never been my thing. I hate it when there is so many people there all trying to get on one station. It is really tough to finish your workout under one hour. Most of the time you are just waiting around for people to get done. I like to finish my workout fast and get out of the gym. So instead of going to the gym, I opted to workout at home instead. I went online and bought myself a good workout DVD called Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I heard so many great reviews about this video. Almost everyone that has tried it has had good success. I wanted to tone my body and it seems like Jillian knows all about toning. I started off with level 1 workout and my first impression was that this was fairly easy for me. So I switched to level 2. That was when it started to get hard.

Create an Exercise DVD Library

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 3:34 am

You can easily create an exercise DVD library by following the steps outlined below. Having this library will help eliminate some of the excuses that come up for not working out. Namely, lack of convenience, boredom, and expense. Once you’ve established your exercise DVD library these excuses carry very little weight.

Establish a budget for your exercise DVD library. Whether it’s $50 or $100 commit to a dollar amount. Even a small dollar amount can get your library off the ground. Look for exercise DVDs in places other than retail stores. Instead, check out bookstore resellers, garage sales, and resale shops.

Be sure to include a variety of DVDs in your collection. When you use a Polar heart rate monitor or similar tool you will see how using a variety of workouts improves your overall fitness level over time. Incorporate different instructors and different types of routines into your collection. For example, you do not want your collection to consist only of aerobic workout DVDs and no strength training DVDs.

Equipment should be a consideration when purchasing exercise DVDs. Make sure you have the equipment to be able to complete the workout. Nothing is worse than having a good stock of DVDs but the inability to use them because you don’t have the right equipment.

Finally, reach out to others. Friends, family, and neighbors may want to join in as well. Tell them what you’re doing and they may want to add some of their DVDs to your library. Of course, they will have to have check out privileges. The bigger the selection the more fun for everyone.

Weights Or Cardio First?

Filed under: Exercise — Tags: — admin @ 5:44 am

This question comes up all the time when doing oblique exercises. Exercise physiologists research it while exercisers puzzle over it. Studies show that it really boils down to six of one or a half dozen of another. In other words, do what you prefer and what meets your needs. If you enjoy weight training first and your primary goal is to build lean body mass, do your weight training first as your muscles will be fresh. If you prefer to warm up thoroughly with a good aerobics workout and you really want to increase your endurance, then do your aerobics first. You will be pre-fatigued for your weight training workout. Alternatively, you can focus on different goals on different days. For example, on Monday you can do a great aerobics workout. On Tuesday, you can weight train. On Wednesday, you can do another aerobics workout. On Thursday, you can weight train. Or you can blend your weight training and aerobics on the same day depending on whether your workout focuses on upper body or lower body muscles. For example, if you go cycling, which uses lots of lower body muscles, you might want to Include an upper body weight training workout on the same day.
